Sonam was an efficient and serious guide for us. He knew how to make us discover the wide open spaces and the riches of the Tamang culture , during this trek, our first experience.
Very quickly, he knew how to adapt his rhythm to ours, anxious to respect our states of fatigue. We are grateful to him for having associated with this very physical hike the meeting of people as different as they are “rich” in all their being. He made enormous efforts to communicate with us and his progress in French is undeniable. In addition, his qualities as a musician only enhanced this journey, of which we will keep excellent memories.

Exeptional experience. I bring my students in Langtang since 2019 for solidarity projects with Tamang yak keepers and local Guesthouse keeper in a win/win relation. It gives my students life changing experience. This family operated organisation make possible to connect to real nepalese life in the Langtang magnificient mondains.

Mountain lovers, we had long dreamed of the high Himalayan peaks. At 70, the dream became reality… it was time!!!

On April 3, 2015, takeoff from Toulouse for Katmandu where SONAM was waiting for us, whom we had chosen as our guide. Return scheduled for May 5th. Impossible to imagine that we were going to live together an extreme situation, the earthquake of April 25th . An event of incredible violence which would tend to overshadow the previous 3 weeks, however extraordinary.

So let’s start at the beginning…

It is thanks to the Internet, this marvelous tool, that we discovered the existence of SONAM. Throughout our many exchanges for the preparation of the 2 treks, his seriousness, his clever advice had seduced us. We will not be disappointed, on the contrary.

My boyfriend and I did a trek in Nepal with Sonam and Babu .
We had an amazing week with them. The trek was the highlight of our stay in Nepal. We exchanged a lot with Sonam and Bhujung, also learned a Nepalese song which helped us to overcome the rather difficult Nepalese dish ! They were always smiling and very attentive to us! We will not forget this trek and we wish them the best!

Who hasn’t dreamed of the Himalayan ranges, mountains higher than the clouds, Tibet or Nepal…?
This dream, two friends realized it in the spring of 2011 by traveling for 2 weeks in the Langtang Region in Nepal then staying a week in Kathmandu and its region.
Not wanting to go with a tour operator, in order to keep the possibility of coming and going as we wish, we retained a guide and two porters in Kathmandu. Recommended by other travellers, we chose to be accompanied by Sonam as a guide and his brother with his cousin as porters.
Thanks to his professional qualities as an experienced guide but above all thanks to his human qualities, Sonam met all our expectations. With him we traveled a territory still relatively unfrequented by trekkers.
He opened the doors to a population of warm generosity.
In addition to the physical effort, the discovery of an exceptional environment, we were lucky enough to be welcomed at each bivouac by families around a wood fire.
Sonam took on the role of interpreter during long evenings of exchanges with the inhabitants about our respective cultures.
His brother and his cousin proved to be excellent traveling companions to whom we taught to play cards in the evening at the evening… From there, long parts of laughter…!!!
Traveling friends, if for you the trip is synonymous with exchanges, meetings, discoveries of places still little frequented then do not hesitate, call on the services of Sonam.
