Overview:

Kathmandu, Bandipur and Pokhara tour combines a unique mix of historical, cultural and natural heritage of Kathmandu, Bandipur and Pokhara. Kathmandu presents limitless travel options for tourists, however Kathmandu, Bandipur and Pokhara tour mainly focuses on seven world heritage site monuments in Kathmandu. You will visit the Kathmandu, Bhaktapur and Patan Durbar Square where you witness a medieval and neo-classical palaces, courtyards, living goddess Kumari, stone sculptures, and exquisite wooden art and architecture perfected by Newari ethnic community.

You will visit the two biggest Buddhist stupas in the world, Swyambhunath stupa, and Boudhanath stupa, a stronghold of Tibetan Buddhism. Next, you will explore the holiest Hindu shrine of Pashupatinath on the bank of Bagmati River and Changu Narayan temple in the edge of Kathmandu Valley.

Bandipur, a beautiful Newari town is located in between Kathmandu and Pokhara. We drive along the Prithvi Highway and turn off right at Dumre to arrive at Bandipur, which is a closely unite Newar and Magar communities. The attractions of Bandipur are Thani Mai temple, 16th century Khadga Devi temple, Siddha cave, and Bindabasini temple to name a few. The hike to Gurungche hill will provide astounding views of snow-capped Himalayan peaks i.e Langtang, Annapurna, Ganesh Himal, Manaslu, and Dhaulagir.

The final destination we do visit is Pokhara city, a tourist hub. This city is also called the city of lakes, caves, and museums. Pokhara is the gateway to famed Annapurna treks, is arguably the most beautiful, most connected and most visited city in Nepal. The popular activities we can do in Pokhara are: hiking up to World Peace Pagoda, sunrise and mountain views from Sarangkot, boating on Phewa Lake, paragliding and rafting, and nightlife on the lake side. But above all the wonderful views of Annapurna, Dhaulagiri, and Fishtail is what drives people to Pokhara.

Kathmandu, Bandipur and Pokhara tours are available whole year. A regular and great network of air and land transport between these three cities make this tour ideal for all travelers.

Detailed Itinerary

  • Day 1: Arrival in Kathmandu

    On your arrival in Tribhuwan International airport, our company representative will pick you up from the airport. He / She will transfer you to a pre-booked hotel. You can take rest in the hotel. In the afternoon/evening, visit our office in Thamel. Your tour guide will conduct a brief orientation of your tour program. Overnight stay in Kathmandu.

  • Day 2: Full day sightseeing in Kathmandu

    Today, you will explore the major attractions of Kathmandu. The tour guide will pick you up from your hotel after you do your breakfast. You will visit the Pashupatinath temple, Swoyambhunath Stupa (Monkey temple), Bouddhanath Stupa, Durbar Squares and Kathmandu valley. At the end of the day you will have a brief knowledge about the historical and cultural heritage of Nepal. Overnight stay in Kathmandu.

  • Day 3: Drive to Bandipur. Enjoy views of mountains and drive to Pokhara.

    After breakfast we drive to Bandipur, the journey along Prithivi highway is a scenic one full of green hills, rivers, and villages. We will reach Bandipur by midday. You can visit local temples and main market. Also, you can go for a short hike to Siddha Cave. Overnight stay in Bandipur.

    Early morning we go for a hike to Gurungche hill. The view of snow-capped mountains from the hill is extra-ordinary. The mountains you can view from the hill are Ganesh Himal, Langtang, Annapurna, Manaslu, and Dhaulagiri peaks. We will do our lunch and drive to Pokhara. Late afternoon you can enjoy boating on Phewa Lake and visit Bindabasini temple. Overnight stay in Pokhara.

  • Day 4: Full day sightseeing in Pokhara.

    Today we will visit the most attractions of Pokhara city. First you will visit the Davis Fall and Gupteswar Cave followed by a hike to World Peace Pagoda, offers the views of Annapurna and Dhaulagiri peaks and beautiful Pokhara valley. Additionally, you can do a paragliding from Sarangkot, visit to Nepal Mountaineering Museum and exploration of Bat Cave. Overnight stay in Pokhara.

  • Day 5: Return back to Kathmandu.

    After breakfast, you will depart Pokhara for Kathmandu. Enjoy the long drive along Prithivi highway. The journey will stop at midway for lunch. By late afternoon, you will be in Kathmandu. Overnight stay in Kathmandu.

  • Day 6: Final Departure

    Today is your last day in Nepal. We will drive you to the airport 3 hours before your scheduled flight, depending on the timing of your international flight. Time to say good bye. Thank you for visiting Nepal.
